Persuasive Prompts work like this, as you might have heard of them. You tell a person what they want to hear, then give them something else that is their best interest. Then they begin to listen to you.
Once they are listening, you will want to take the conversation in a direction that will get them to do what you want them to do. You want to keep going until you reach their goal. So, how do you go about doing this? Use Persuasive Prompts!
There are a lot of things that you can use, but you will want to use one of these four categories when you use Persuasive Prompts. Let's take a look at each one. These four types are; Accepting, Accepting but Upset, and Justify Giving Up.
Accepting is a great way to get started. Try to get their attention first with some form of simple verbal communication, for example. Then say something that they can't ignore such as, 'If you have any objections, let me know.' If you are about to give them your product, you can state 'You will be amazed at how quickly I sell!' in a tone that says I am disappointed with your decision.
Acceptance will help you get started. All you need to do is send them off with something that they want. Once they are excited, they will continue to listen. They will keep listening and keep learning more about you and your business.
To really understand how to use Acceptance, you need to look at your personal life. Everyone goes through some problems at times and you want to have your own share of those. So, find something that is positive and write about it. Then you will notice when you are feeling down that you feel happy and accepting of all that life throws at you.
Justify giving up is just the opposite of acceptance. You need to think about someone that you admire their situation, but you cannot fully do anything about it. For example, if you admired a doctor who worked in a small town, but he had to move to the big city because he was making too much money for them to hire someone. He could not perform surgery because of it.
